Hi Adarsh,

 

Can you please provide us with below logs from /usr/sap/DAA/SMDA**/work.

 

stderr0

std_smdagent.out

dev_jstart.*

 

Also do verify the content of same from your end for any java memory related issue.

 

As the error is quite generic and related to bootstrap.

Hi,

 

When the Info Provider does not hold any Units for the Measures fields, usually we will get ERROR besides the Measure.

 

To avoid this create a calculated key figure on top of the measure where you are facing issue as NODIM(MEasure field). This will correct your error.

Cost Center in report S_PL0_86000028

Hi,

 

I am trying to add cost center to FI report - S_PL0_86000028 by creating a new report in Report painter. (0SAPBSPL-01)

Everything is OK, I get the cost center from characteristics. But the KEY is not displaying in the output, instead cost center description is displaying.

I checked the layout, there is only cost center(text) field available no key is there.

Can any one please let me know how to get key in output.

Disable your firewall. Then goto start menu -> services.msc and restart TAO NT Naming Service and set it to automatic. This will resolve this issue.

A question regarindg Solman client strategy

Hi all.

I'm looking for any guidances or documents which are describing a (sort of) best practice client strategy for Solution Manager.

 

For example, we normally use a client 100 as a productive one. For a case that there's no separated DEV system, I have thought how about setting up a below client strategy?

- 001: Configuration Only

- 100: Productive

- 200: Test

 

However, my colleague said that SOLMAN_SETUP is not cross-client configuration and needs to be executed again once the target client is created. Therefore it would require pretty much efforts to prepare the TEST client. Is it a true? If then, is there any easy way that I can utilize

both productive and test client in one system?

Your answers have been helpful, thanks. But I do not consider this issue resolved. I am looking for  comprehensive documentation about PI Java authorizations, the two documents so far are less than a single page each and generally only focus on message monitoring, that's not all there is to the PI. e.g. I had a developer last week who was trying to access the Services Registry. I assigned him SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE, but it did not help. I had to open an OSS message to learn that UDDI_Admin is also necessary for that. Things like that have to be documented somewhere, I don't want to keep opening tickets!

First create a status table in your database and the value in the column would be either "Loading" or "Ready". In your report create a new query that will fetch this status.

With this status you can conditionally display "Data load in progress" message in a cell in your report.

You can use the same object to control the visibility of the all the report elements.

 

Additionally,

  1. you can pass dummy value to all other queries in the report when the status is "loading". So there will be no data to view when the data load is taking place.
  2. you can automate the status update in ETL. When the Job starts update the flag to "Loading" and as a last step of the job update the falg to "Ready" or complete.

Hi,

 

You can select B1 outbound and work with <b1im_skip> to display the message monitor either as success or error (dependent on the result of your B1 cancellation call). Just select a dummy B1 outbound object.

To get details about skipping the outbound processing, please open B1i online help (HELP -> Online Help) and enter the search term "skip": Following document will be displayed "Skipping Outbound Processing".

Hi Vignesh,

 

do you use the 64bit or 32bit version?

 

sometimes such issue in the client is also caused by wrong installation (old version was not deleted completely).

 

please check in your installation folder if the content is correct. Open the folder and check existence of a file

com.sap.ip.bi.framework*.jar

 

-> you should see only one, not like in the example below.

Hi,

 

Yes you need to include the basic sets of checks to the minimum level in the questionnaire , Although there are approximately 25 sets of checks you can do but below are the minimum one.

 

1. Missing security notes.

2.Standard users with default passwords.

3. Insufficient password policy.

4. Users with SAP_ALL

5. Users with full authorization to S_RFC

6. Users authorizations with to debug/replace and S_DATASET.

7. Users authorizations to execute all the function modules or reports.

8. Super users check,

9. RFC destination with login information

10 Security audit log deactivated

 

These are most important checks your SOS report should have.

Hi Zunaid,

 

Initially we book expenses to cost centre. Here cost centre will get debited with combination of cost element. When you charge over heads from this cost centre to order, then the part of expenses get debited to order and same time it credits to cost centre.

Can u explain bit more.

 

If there is a split in WPBP then you will get 2 periods in payroll log as suggested by Saroj.

If you want any amount without split then change that particular WT PRCL 20 with spec as 4.

If you don't want to use the objects, I'd recommend hiding them for a period at first (available via the right-click menu).

 

Then you'll need to see where else these are used, such as in @Select statements in other objects and predefined conditions. As well as that, review the reports in which they are used and determine if they are still needed or how easy it is to manage the transition from that object in the affected report. Have you agreed with the report owner that the object in question will no longer be available?

Implementation In Foam Industry

Hello Experts.

 

I am implementing SAP business one in a Foam Industry. My client process is that they first make Blocks of Foam of different sizes and than cut those blocks in different sizes as per client requirement. In this way there are too much sizes. Can any one help me whats the best practice in this regard. I have already tried the multiple UOM and the length width height criteria in sap but it doesn't fulfill my requirement. Creating BOM for every item of different is quite hectic activity so need help in this regard.

In webUI client, do you mean CRM webui page?

How about it if you start WebGUI service directly, execute T-code MMBE?

Please refer to KBA 1877395 for the detailed steps.

Please check if the same error also happens on WebGUI.
