Currently we are using SAP ECC 6.06 with New G/L Functionality. Previously we had single business location. We had gone live on 31.01.2011. We are using SAP FI/CO, MM And HR modules.Currently we are using the below hierarchy.
Company ->Controlling Area->Company Code->Profit Centre -> Cost Centers
We have existing 583 Profit Centre and 814 Cost centre.
We are also using document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger is Profit centre and Segment.
Now we have multiple business locations Like Indore, Lucknow, Delhi and Gurgoan.
Can we go for business area / Plant (For MM) functionality, if yes then what would be its pros and cons?
